Kaunaʻoa Bay’s magnificent backdrop is the ideal location to enjoy the many opportunities that Mauna Kea Beach Hotel has to offer. After morning yoga on the lawn, start your day with an outrigger canoe ride along the coastline. You’ll explore hidden coves and mysterious caves while scouting for Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins. Your guide will also bring masks and snorkels for those who wish to get an underwater view of the coral and marine life.

If you’ve always wanted to try Stand Up Paddling (SUP), Mauna Kea Beach Hotel offers board rentals and lessons. For the more adventurous paddlers, there’s Glow SUP on Thursday and Sunday evenings. You can explore Kaunaʻoa Bay after sunset on SUP’s with LED lights attached to the bottom of your board while you gaze at the stars overhead. Experienced instructors and lifeguards are available to ensure your safety whether you’re an experienced or a first-time paddler.
